Winged Keel Group is the premier national platform for the structuring, implementation, and administration of high-end life insurance solutions. With ten offices nationwide, the firm specializes in Traditional Life Insurance, Business Continuation Insurance, Private Placement Life Insurance and Annuities, and Corporate-Owned Life Insurance portfolios. 

Position Summary: 

The Winged Keel Summer Internship Program is designed to provide rising college seniors with real-world experience in the dynamic life insurance profession. A summer internship with Winged Keel provides perspective on the breadth of career paths available throughout the industry with a focus on how we serve the dynamic needs of ultra-high-net-worth clients and their advisors. You’ll be part of the full lifecycle of a life insurance case, working with Winged Keel team members in sales support, case design, underwriting, client services, people and culture, and marketing and communications. Students will also complete a capstone project with a final presentation to a group of the firm’s Client Relationship Managers during the final week of the program. The internship provides an opportunity to expand your network, enhance your understanding of the life insurance industry, and be part of a high-growth environment with a recognized leader in the space.  

As part of the program objectives, you will have a core set of responsibilities to fulfill. You will be assigned a mentor/buddy who will provide on-going guidance, support, and mentorship. There will also be participation in Group Networking/Development such as a group meeting with the Managing Principal of the firm, and a firm wide off-site company outing, as well as a monthly lunch with a leader in the firm with a discussion topic about our business. The learning curve is steep and will require you to quickly immerse yourself in the role. Behind you will be a supportive team encouraging you to succeed.

Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027
  • Must be available June 1– July 31 and able to work onsite 40 hours per week Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm 
  • Detail oriented with a strong ability to organize and prioritize
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proactive and takes initiative with strong follow through
  • Previous office experience a plus
  • Positive, can-do attitude
